She graduated from Nazareth College (Class of 1991) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in French. During a semester abroad at the Universite de Haute Bretagne, located in Rennes, France, she was introduced to essential oils as a natural remedy to her chronic sinus infections and became fascinated by these substances. In 1993, she was hired by Xerox to work as an administrator but continued to be extremely interested in essential oils; she obtained her Certification in Aromatherapy (Aromahead Institute) in 2004 and began a part-time career as Certified Holistic Aromatherapist, offering consultations and teaching essential oil educational classes. After 16 years of employment, she decided to leave Xerox to follow her strong personal interests to pursue a full-time career in natural health and healing. In 2005, she began her studies in French Medical Aromatherapy (Essential Oil Resource Consultants) and has to date completed more than 300 hours in this field of study. In 2010, she graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage and received her license in Massage Therapy in 2011.
In addition to practicing massage therapy and aromatherapy, she has a small-line of therapeutic products that she formulated which support a variety of health needs; she has also been a regular contributor to Natural Mothering Magazine. In 2010, she was invited to The Dr. Oz show during which she shared her natural remedy for dry, cracked skin.
